Is it possible to have 2 different character saves?

On this playthrough I'm doing now I did the main story, a lot of the sidequests etc, have a pretty big level and loads of health and resistance to enemy attacks. It's pretty boring I one shot a lot of enemies.

I wana make a 2nd New Game either on Hard or Survivalist difficulty with a new character. Is it possible to have both these characters saved and Load either one of them or will the new one overwrite the old one?

you can have more than two, the save files are separate for each character.

ps: use a different character name though as it could get confusing.

Yes, you can start as many new characters as you want, however be aware, the more saves you have you might start getting poor performance (from the info) But if you start a new game, choose a different name than any other, you can easily access different characters, let's say your 1st character is called Chris, you can start a new game, call character something else, and you can either access "Chris" Saves or the other character's saves

So go ahead, it's really simple to access both characters. Anyway sorry for the extensive writing for something simple ;)

I have seven. I deleted unnecessary saves and kept the first and the last two for each character. I can play each one from where I left off or from when they left the vault.

After you hit Continue , you will go to the load option screen. Click on Load, then at the bottom you will see Character..that is where you change which toon your are playing.

yep it's not obvious until you make a second character save. Once you have a 2nd character you will notice the "character" option on main menu.

I never tried any of the new saves as any "load" option I use on new characters are either not working or Bethesda scammed me on the digital port?

Saves are grouped by character if you ever bothered to look at your load screen.

The only issue you'd have is if you're not using a mod manager that accounts for it, you'd have to make sure you loaded the correct mods for each character. Unless you just use the same mods on every character, then you're gold.
