You can run Fallout 4 on 5 year old hardware on high settings with 40-50 frames. Try that on TW3 and you'll be lucky to get 15-25 with everything cranked down.

GTAV 60 fps

Mad Max 60 fps

FO4 60 FPS

all at pretty decent settings

TW3 40-45 fps at lower settings than the above

these are all 2015 open world game releases. TW3 optimisation is poor, even higher spec PCs have been having trouble with getting stable frame rates, and that is not because the graphics are sooo good, they aren't.

I get better framerates on TW3 than I do on FO4 so it's safe to say it isn't our rigs. Besides there's no reason for FO4 to perform poorly. Sorry to say, even though it's an improvement in comparison to FO3 and NV, but this game looks like trash. TW3 at the very least is one of the best looking games in recent memory.

To me it is. The only difference from FO4 and Skyrim is the setting, and the gameplay.

I haven't played the Witcher games but have heard they are very good, and reviewers that I personally trust have given it good ratings, plus it looks 'complex' enough to still have lots of depth.
Fallout 4 is an example of a developer groveling for cash in all the worst places. Almost all RPG elements are gone, making this game more an open-world FPS than an Action-RPG. Fallout New Vegas is my favorite game in the franchise by far (I've played them all) and by comparison, Fallout 4 fell waaaaay short of New Vegas in terms of value.
I bought New Vegas day one and loved it, crashes and all.
I bought Fallout 4 day one and am still playing it and trying to decide if it's good or not. Hell, I'm actually playing it right now! It's a DECENT game; it has its moments, but New Vegas is and always will be a better game (and canon-wise is actually Fallout 3, not some almost entirely unrelated game like the 'real' Fallout 3),
At least until Obsidian makes New Vegas 2/Actual Fallout 4.
Still, F4 is not a terrible game. It is an AVERAGE Fallout game, but not terrible.

Technically, it is. A lot of Skyrim's code has been found in F4 and you can even see some assets re-used here and there. Fallout 3 was literally Oblivion with guns, and Fallout 4 is literally Skyrim with guns. The proof is in the programming.

You have to also take into context you were what 5 years younger then too. In five years your whole perception on life can change. What you thought was so great about new vegas then if that same game would have come out now would u have felt the same way? Doubtful.... If you guys jumped on the over hype train that's kinda your own fault same ♥♥♥♥ happened with Destiny. I watched the trailer at e3 and I went dark not watching anything on it til I played it Tuesday and I think what they did to it made it awesome. I've played about 10 hours and I feel like I am barely starting. it's not at all a fps it's an action Rpg people seem to have forgotten what the definition of action Rpg is because many of people are comparing this to call of duty and that's just disrespectful.

and maybe you may not like how fallout 4 looks but what are you going to say for mad max and gtav? TW3 is not graphically so far superior to those games, enough to justify the fps drop at lower settings.
