(HELP) "Show No Mercy" Quest Vertibird Minigun Glitch and weapons not equipting (HELP)

While on the quest "Show no Mercy" After I talked to all the crew members on the blimp and I got assigned to go to fort strong. I enter the Virtibird and tried to use the minigun on the Virtibird, it would not fire, I pressed all of the buttons on my keyboard and nothing seemed to work. So I loaded up a different save from before thinking it was just a simple bug but the same thing happened again, I couldn't pull out a weapon or use the minigun on the virtibird. Ive tried to fast travel away from the blimp and come back but that still doesn't work. I am stuck on this mission and I cannot progress, PLEASE HELP! After coming out of the blimp and fast traveling somewhere else I still can't equipt any weapons. I have loaded a save from 2 hours ago (TWICE) and tried to see if that worked, nope.
-Any help or advice would be pleasing, thank you.
-No I am not deleting all my saves thank you very much.

Hi! Have you finished the previous main story quest by talking to Nick? If not, do so. It worked for me.

I'm having an issue where I cannot get on the vertibird

i had a awsome bug where i could us any automatic weapon in the vertibird.

cant get that bug to happen nore do i know how it started but it didnt stop me from picking what ever weapon i wanted
