I need help on Vault 75

So im trying to get the alien blaster pistol, but to get it you need to explore vault 75, i completed most of the side quest but the only part of it left is to "explore the admin area" i have looked through every room and searched everywhere to try to complete the mission but it wont finish, I might just be an idiot and missing something but if you can help me i would greatly appreciate it

I had this problem too.

If you explore everything within the vault, you have to access the Overseer's terminal -- even if you unlocked everything already.

That's not how you get the pistol at all, unless there's more than one. There's an event while exploring the Commonwealth where you see an Alien ship fly through the sky and crash somewhere towards the West of the map. You go there, find the crashed ship, follow a path of green blood and find a cave with an alien, kill him, he has the Alien Blaster.

You activate the event by completing the Vault. Or at least, that's a guaranteed way to trigger the crash landing; there might be others.

Odd, have yet to even discover that Vault and yet I had the Ship crash happen while I was making my way to Goodneighbor along the river side.

I just did the admin area, and you need to use the Overseers terminal to complete it.

Thank you so much for your help I guess I never checked the overseer terminal I really appreciate it, was able to complete the quest and got the blaster pistol
