Dude Mack save

I just bought the game I played it for around 2 hours on a very small screen as my copy will not let me make it much if any bigger ad then proceded to save as I would be returning later the next day to play some more only to later find where my save should have been there was a save labled Dude Mack that had been in the wasteland for 25 days which I had not I tried to open it to see what was going on but the game was unresponsive I then thought it must have been a weird glitch so I deleted the game and re downloaded it to see what would happen when I went back on there once again is a save labeled Dude Mack what is this is really creeping me out

nice story bro... but that not vanishing savefile isnt that unusual... 1) some games dont delete the savegames when they are deleted, 2) i think F04 also saves the game in a cloud... so even after deleting the save, it will probably reaper due to that.

(but hell it woul be nice what that Dude Mack was doing so long in the wasteland...)

a damn... the cloud could probably be really the culprit in terms of appearing saves :/

Same thing happend to me with the same name i went to continue and i got a "dude mack" lvl 25 save now

I had the same problem, I just coninued the save and all of my saves magically reapeared.

This just happened to me, too. I exited after saving and the 'Resume' button at the homescreen displayed no image, but the character name "Dude Mack", level 25 with 25 days played. I tried to play Dude Mack and it reloaded my files, with no reappearance of Dude Mack... weird!

This is interesting to say the least. It's that we don't have access to the debug build of the game, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was a placeholder name used for the player character before it's actually named (just like Bendu Olo for TES).

Placeholder... good thinking. My thoughts were a little too 'grand' perhaps, as I thoguht of dedication to someone who died indevelopment and used his nickname (this happens a lot in games), or a shout-out to some Fraternity Brothers giving a date of something that occurred on a Campus, or perhaps something that would occur in the future... as in 25 Days Played = Date The Nukes Fall IRL (Month 3 Day 15).... and so on (just for my own entertainment, don't worry lol).

Poor guy. You can see that his work was much of the soul of these games. But other than that, I wouldn't have a better explanation than you do.

My thoughts were just conjecture and imagination. That is sad, though... I am glad his work lives on after him
