Battle music won't stop?

I got into a fight, and long after said fight the battle music is still playing. I've tried waiting, fast traveling, turning radio on/off, saving and quitting, etc.
I cannot get the battle music to stop, does anyone know how to fix this?

I find doing a hard quit fixes it for me.
My music normally gets looped on the USS constitution fight

A hard quit? Is that like a Ctrl Alt Delete Quit?

I had that stuck battle music bug a few times, quiting and reloading the game fxes it for me

speaking of music, I recommend you guys get this mod, it really adds to the immersion of the game

That's a hard reboot

A hard quit is quit to menu followed by quit to desktop

I tried that didn't work.
Does anyone know the console command to reset the music back to normal?

I did the institute play thru and after Shaun passed the battle music started blaring made the sad scene funny.

Pretty sure that meme doesn't even work anymore. I think Windows gives you a warning now if you try to delete system 32.

I've done everything that's been listed here... used the help command to find different combat tracks it could be, and went through one by one removing each of them. It was still playing, so I quit to desktop hoping that the commands would work after I had come back. And... nope! Still combat music. I think I'm quite literally being driven insane. I have lost all hope. The classical music station is my only companion now. I love this game, but honest to God, ♥♥♥♥ it sometimes.

Maddening bug. Took me over ten quit-and-saves to get rid of that annoying crap—and this was BEFORE the Mechanist. Annoying as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HELL. Have NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea why it stopped.

As weird as it may sound, I'm glad I'm not alone with this glitch sticking around no matter what fixes are tried. This ♥♥♥♥ is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bananas, my dude.

it sometimes wont... but i dont think its a glitch you must have tai toggled off... it will make the battle music play on even after a npc your battling or if you have tcl off that sometimes does that
