Has anyone encountered this bug?[Quest: Butcher Bill]

Basically, there should be another container with the dead drop contents where the blue marker is. This happened at West Everett Estates[vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net]

I encountered the same bug (Missing Dead drop container) but with the second part of the quest (Butcher Bill 2). Seems that the random dead drop spawn system may be bugged for some unlucky people. I personally had to use console commands to bypass the bug by forcing the quest to proceed to the next "stage" or objective to be able to complete it :|

Have the same bug. i have been looking around for the questID so i can skip to the next objective but i have found nothing. I don't suppouse you guys know the questID?

To make the dead drop appear, simply go back to railroad HQ and talk to people until you get the Randolph House 1 quest. the dead drop for this quest is the same as for butcher's bill 2. now when you go back to the dead drop location, the dead drop will be there, and content for both quests will be present. JP.

after getting the dead drop information as above in my last note, you may also encounter a random desktop crash when attempting to enter the BADTFL offices (next stage of quest.) this happened to me when i was traveling with Cait. I tried three times to enter the building and the game crashed each time. the only way i found to resolve it without messing with the console was to travel to a nearby settlement, dismiss Cait to that settlement, then go back to BADTFL. Alone, i was able to enter the building and advance the quest.

all the dead drops worked fine for me, I guess I got lucky cause the deadrop locations are random

This worked for me. No console inputs necessary.
