Best FOV option?
So I see everyone is putting 110 instead of 70 but tbh it look like ♥♥♥♥... I tried putting 90 or 100 but I can't decide, which one is best? also should I let world FOV to one in particular and first person to something else? any tips?

90 was best for me

Personally i've always done 105 when available in games, and I play at a resolution of 1920x1080. It's really up to your preference though and what you like.

for both options?

FOV seems to be locked in this game, at least for me.

I have tried using the console to set it to 90 but it always resets back to default when I close the console.

Both options? You mean both first and third person?

You need to change it in your .ini's if you want the changes to be permanent.

1920x1080 i use 90 for me upeer 100 Fov is to much deformed

I like 90 also because it's 1/4 of the world view. Just seems to make sense if you face a direction (N,E,S,W) that you see the perspective of that entire direction no less, no more.

more than 90 and the fish eye starts to become too ugly IMO

The Default 80 for first person works for me. Good balance of being able to see things and not having the geometry warping that I don't like having in SP games.

Which ini do I need to go into?

This isn't a competitive shooter so you don't really need a high FOV, especially with VATS which makes having target awareness not very important. That, and having enemies marked on your compass. I'd say the default FOV is perfect for this (I believe it's 80?). If you change it too much, like you said, it warps the graphics and gives you that skittering spider vision.

Now, if this was Quake 2 I'd be telling you differently :) But really, just choose which ever you think looks best. We can't pick for you!

90 on 1st and 3rd person and also 90 on the gun model.

old thread, but I recommend just sticking to what the game gives you, which is 80 fov

surprisingly, this value feels really good in fallout 4, and I find anything above it (90, 100 etc) to be uncomfortable

but to each their own, so do whatever suits you

I also recommend going to your Fallout4.ini and changing "fMouseHeadingYScale=" to double the value of "fMouseHeadingxScale=", or the other way around
you can thank me later
