that's not really a solution.
Also it makes your house less house like... which is kinda troublesome.
No it's not, the places you are talking about aren't apart of your settlement, they are beds to the side in other places. That's not a solution to the problem of settlers getting assigned to your bed in the settlements that you want to build a house for yourself.
That doesn't help when you come back and the settlement got a new settler.
All NPCs have a key in their inventory, so presumably they shouldn't be able to enter without you around.
It's the only way - So you'll just have to deal with it, and assign that settler.
Yes - Unless you tear down the doors...which you won't be able to place back anew...
Seems a bit stupid that the place you lived before, you wouldn't live again.
All in all these are my final suggestions:
-Use a settlement just for yourself
-Make a house in a settlement and be annoyed by the NPCs
-Use a home obtainable in a set location
what i recomend is to use the creation menu to block your bed, and use the menu to unblock it. sorta like a door that you have to use a key to open. its not that bad, though i kinda dont ever use the beds anyway. who needes sleep when you can just take another JET?
