Pip Boy Disappearing Forever(Usual Methods not Working)

Right now I cannot bring my pip boy up no matter what I do. I have tried all the usual methods that fix it like pressing v, reloading the level, and opening VATS. I have also tried verifying my cache and reinstalling the game. At this point just done because I can only play with my pip boy app. Lastly, yes my video drivers are all up to date and I am running a GTX970. If you have ideas let me know I'm desperate.

I had the same problem and i'm sure you have tried this but...... I simply left the game and restarted my computer. When I went back into the game everything was ok. I hope you get this fixed.

These are one of the many problems i wish they'd fix, i don't care if they have to delay the DLC, but this is has been going on from day one.
Oh, and green aura's from explosions.

ok here is a fix in-game you willneed to open the console command and enter this "player.additem 00021b3b 1" then after that add "player.equipitem 00021b3b 1" obviously without the qoutations. hope this helps. please let me know!

totally worked for me i guess when i changed my char in the looksmenu it unequipped my pipboy but i didnt notice because i was in power armor for so long.

Ugh, have the same problem. Started after entering x1 armour I found

An alternative fix for the invisible Pip-Boy bug is to use the console to equip, and then un-equip all power armor in the game, and the reequip the Pip-Boy. As follows:
Equip then remove all the available power armors:
player.equipitem 3E577
player.removeitem 3E577
player.equipitem B1C09
player.removeitem B1C09
player.equipitem 140D7B
player.removeitem 140D7B
player.equipitem 1909D1
player.removeitem 1909D1
player.equipitem 1909D5
player.removeitem 1909D5
player.equipitem 1909D6
player.removeitem 1909D6
player.equipitem 198B13
player.removeitem 198B13
Your arm should now show with out the Pip Boy, now equip the Pip Boy:
player.equipitem 21b3b

doesnt work for me at all, there is no power frame item in my inventory when i dont have the power armor equipped

Ok so i found out what to do (What worked for me)
First open the console and type "player.equipitem 001909D6"
then enter a powersuit of some sort
Enter into the console "player.removeitem 001909D6 1"
Exit the powersuit and try to open the pipboy, now you should see just your arm with no pipboy on it.
Finally type into the console "player.equipitem 00021b3b 1"
Now it should work (hopefully) because it did for me.

At first the technique shared/linked to by HellFront (#29) didn't work for me. The 7 power armour frames...yes SEVEN lol... were still in my .inv along with another one added along for good measure after I'd gone through it lol. So I went through & did each piece that had shown up individually (when there were multiples of the same frame I did it once for each one). I equipped them, then unequipped, then removed them, came out of console, went back in and did the player.inv to make sure that the one I'd done had gone. Repeated for each one. I did NOT get in and out of the power armour in between during this method because it hadn't worked the first attempt. You probably don't need to check the player.inv after each one but I found it more reassuring to check that it was working. I equipped my pip-boy, then I quicksaved (just in case the next part screwed it up) got in my armour, got out again and checked my pip-boy and HALLELUJAH it was working.

I can't thank you enough HellFront, you & the person on the nexus forum who posted the vid, I've been stuck in power armour unable to change my clothes & regular armour for about 45 levels or so. It had got to the point where it was effecting things you wouldn't think about - like I couldn't use the hair dresser's chairs (yet the doc in vault 81 was able to take his samples just fine. I was so confused when people would comment on power armour I didn't appear to be wearing. This bug is crazy as anything.

One thing I did notice is that the atom cat power armour frame seems to be a common thread in the .inv...I wonder if this is what triggers the bug or if it's just a side effect of having at some point used the atom cat armour.

Whether this fix is permanent or temporary, it doesn't matter, at least I know how to put it right if it happens again. And now maybe I can take all my good legendary armour back off my companion lol.
