Covenant as a settlement (Spoilers)
So I sided against the people at Covenent. SPOILERS AHEAD

I ended up having to kill them all, even though I didn't really want to. At first I thought I could turn this into a pretty decent settlement, but now I'm realizing I can't. All the beds are still owned by the dead residents, I can't even remove them from the building because they can't be scrapped. All the items are still owned, too, so I'd either have to scrap everything or steal everything. I'd only be able to have a few settlers in the place because there isn't enough room for any more beds anywhere, just what's in the guest house.

I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the beds, because I finally found a queen sized bed and I can't even use it, the selection for beds for settlements are ♥♥♥♥. Is there a console command for removing ownership on items?

I liked her too, I was most upset when I had to kill her. I should try resetai on her actually (or just reset? Can't remember), theoretically it'd put her pre-quest self back in town, which would mean she'd pretty much be pretending nothing had happened. I'll post an update here when I check that out, because it'd be cool.

You can keep her. As in most beth games you can select her body in console mode and type resurrect
Make sure she stands inside covenant or she will be brainless for some reason (moveto palyer if she is outside) just moved her into the shop house resurrected her and now she acts as nothing ever happened, and even trade is possible.
Eddy you legend I didn't think of that!

I've resurrected her now but I can't trade with her or anything. Is that the case for you also? Like, all she says is "do you need to use my tools?" or something, and she's not considered a settler either, which seems weird considering what the case would be if you'd stayed friends with the settlement.

Can someone help me?
In Covenant, I've disabled 2 doors witzh console commands, because they continously closed. These were (ff0154db)[PP] and (000e0514)[EP].
How can I activate them with the enable command? I can not click on them and their ID are not in the console header.

Thanks for the answers.
(I wish to solve the issue by granting the necessary keys to the settlers, and without doors, the houses seems to be a little bit odd)

Yea its botched. Needs a patch for people who side against them. Also forgot to mention, but if you build your own turrents they will agro onto the existing ones and kill them anyway. You also cannot get rid of the destroyed turrent parts that are blocking you from rebuilding your own turrents there, unless you go into console and delete them that way.

So if i sided with them, and then built my own turrets, they will attack the ones that are there? or only if i side against the settlement, wipe it out and rebuild; thats when my new turrets will take out the old ones?

I wiped out the town without touching the turrets, and I built my own turrets outside the walls on the ground, I don't know which of the two is the reason why they get along just fine. They may not count toward defense points, but it's a lot of free turrets defending the town from raiders.

I also just salvaged the doors and built my own there, and settlers don't care that the beds were owned. Was very little effort to get a decent town of my own going.

If they're outside the walls they probably can't detect the others, which would make going agro impossible. Good solution, surprised you could build any outside though with the border where it is.

But how? Crafted doors can not fit into the prefab covenant houses.

Ah, forgot I had a mod that unlocked extra doors, some of them don't need a snap point to place. I just had to manually squeeze them into the frame just right.

I sided with them and got the settlement. But then some Ghouls came over later on and I had to defend. I kileld the ghoulies off but now the quest is bugged, it wants me to talk to Jacob (The mayor), but all he does is tell me about not trusting Dan, even though I told Dan to leave.

I had the same problem, Covenant is seriously bugged

Yes it is, the original beds do not work as beds. The doors will lock constantly, unless you remove those. Then you got the turret (which dont count)/turret corpses that never go away so you can build your own there. Then the front gate that keeps closing on you during workshop mode.

So I found a way to "save" the NPC's in Covenant. Not sure if there is any long term impact, but so far it's working.

Basically I killed them all after they turned hostile to me. After killing them, I resurrect them using the following method.

Go to http://fallout.wikia.com to find the RefID for the NPC
In the console type Prid #RefID.
(moveto player, making the NPC's dead body appear at your feet. (if you lost the body, I haven't tested this)
type recycleactor

The corpse will disappear and the NPC will reappear, however they will be naked. To get them dressed click on them and type openactorcontainer 1. You will be able to re-equip their clothes.

This worked perfectly for all of them, except they sometimes adopt some strange poses.

Penny is still a vendor and sells what she sold before. One small note. If you use an advanced scope on your rifle the diamond symbol will stay attached to the NPC after they are resurrected, which is rather annoying.

I'm not a huge fan of how the settlement works with a number of resources (it's got power connected to mains but you can't utilize that at all) but I've figured out how to make it functional at least mostly. Like others have said you can click on objects while you're in the console and type "setownership", if it says there's a missing variable or something type "14" or "player" after that, this should make you, the player, the owner. As for the turrets/turret parts simply click on the turrets while in the console and type "remove" or "disable", this should clear them from the area and allow you to place your turrets on their spots (I didn't try this but it was pretty specific about where it would let you place turrets on those platforms). You can actually get the turrets on the roofs of some of the buildings though if you have the patience to precisely place them. I found the flat sections below the roof's high points to be the most reliable for placing. As for the bodies if you don't want to look at them I dragged all mine behind one of the houses where nobody would find them. You shouldn't worry too much about your settlement's population dying because the only way in is the front door, and it shuts itself. Probably not a fully decent solution but it makes the place live-able.

Note to sticklers for legitimacy/achievement hunters: Console commands DO NOT disable Steam Achievements like they did in Skyrim, so using the console to fix problems here isn't cheating, nor is it going to negatively effect your stats gameplay-wise. This might change later on after patches but currently it ain't no thang.
For placement of turrets in hard to reach places, just use console "~" and toggle clipping on your character, then fly up and place the turret. I don't feel this is cheating as many other locations have turrents (etc) placed in locations impossible to reach without such help. Just pretend you are using a sky hook. :)

Covenant is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aweful. I have no idea what Bethseda was thinking when they made it.. Look at ALL THE SPACE AROUND IT, It could of been a decent sized town if they extended th walls in that open land. Like another city similar to Diamond city. Hire a decent writer and the town could of been based around a theme like a town run by rich people. But nope, Beth half assed it and thats how Covenant turned out. A ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Settlement. 6 years wasnt enough for them apparently.

I took it straight from Skyrim. For some reason one of my named settler was non-essential and got killed during a raid. I figured I'd try this method that worked really well in Skyrim. Seems to work just as well here.
