Crashing when entering the area around good neighbor?
After crossing the bridge from bunker hill it would crash. Tried other points of entry and it seems to just around the east side of diamond city

Hi, I have a very similar issue to you as I am trying to do the main quest and this issue prevents me from continuing it.

I attempted to validate my Steam files and apparently I am missing 11 files that total up to 11.2 GBs if those files Steam is downloading for me are actually missing.

Will get back to you if I get any results and others can try this if they get this issue.

Well coming back to you. I just so happened to fix my problem by Validating my Steam files. I would recommend you try that.

I tried that, and it only allowed to me to near the area but would still crash when I go nearby the old corner bookstore area. Thanks though!

Give it another shot and if not there must be another issue going on. With another game I had to validate it a few times to get all my files. (And with Planetside download missing files off of the actual website rather than the Steam version)..

Alright I'll give it a try

I've got the same issue exiting goodneighbour heading northwest across the bridge crashes every time.
Tried approaching from other direction can't get anywhere near it without a crash.

By any chance are you using an nvidia driver?

I am using a NVIDIA driver and I CTD every time I try to fast travel, load a save while in game and try to access Good Neighbour. I have tried;

1) Verifying my game cache
2) Updating and Backdating my NVIDIA graphics driver for the GeForce 960M
3) Opting into the Beta

None of these worked, the annoying this is that is only started happening when I started doing the silver shroud quests and exploring the areas around there. I had about a total of 3 days of play time without fault and now this! Upon research this seems to only really be an issue for people running NVIDIA drivers :(

Any assistance is welcome, will even pay a couple caps ;D

i also have a problem around goodneighbor: everytime when i enter goodneighbor the loading screen pops up and it keeps going forever. i tried it for 30 minutes and it just don't stops. the object is still turning around and the vault-tec logo is still working. I don't know what to do. I can't continue the main quest now :(

I fixed mine by... Reverting back to Windows 7 from 10 :D it was radical but I was pushed to that point

You can find the ID for goodneighbour via the Wiki and use the COC command. Enter the console and type: COC [ID] without the []. That would get you into goodneighbour and then you could fast travel there.

Have you tried a file check of your HD from windows?
