companion sitting on ground

so i have a human companion, and for some reason he's currently just been sitting on the ground and not helping at all. i don't think he's overencumbered or injured or is he? also how do you apply a stimpak to a companion, maybe his legs are crippled or something?

oh well i don't get that option when I talk to him, and it's been like this for like 20 minutes now, and i'm pretty sure he's not dead jim.

he's up and running around now. still have no idea. i asked him how our relationship was and 5 minutes later he's up. :o

This is a Bug - Just use the prid commands, that people use to find missing companions. But instead of moveto player - type "kill" and the companions will get knocked down like they were killed by something. At this point you will be able to pick them up with a stimpack.

You can also just shoot them until they are hurt instead of using the console

Blueheaven's got the right idea. Shoot them until they require a stimpack. Once the stim's been applied, they should get right back up.

While Nick was doing this for me, I couldn't use ironsights on my weapons. Weird connected bug? It was remedied once Valentine got up off the ground.

i never use a companion now anyway because i'm always carrying so much crap for some reason
