If a companion is damaged to low HP they kneel down. You then can approach them and inject them with a Stim Pack.
I actually found it harder to get Cait and Valentine to the same point.
Im not joking.
So, what is causing the rise? It could be just spending time with her, I was building for like 3 hours and never left the settlement. It could be that she really likes settlement building. Or it could be that I was building using the Institute structures available from the Homemaker mod.
Yeah, it bugs me to, I know of it, but I have a pet german shepherd and um, can't quite bring myself to use the method.
1. Have Dogmeat as your companion.
2. Be around the companion you want to romance with. Alternatively, use a bell or siren to gather everyone around you.
3. Down or "kill" Dogmeat and use a stimpak on him.
4. Sleep for 3 hours to refresh affinity.
5. Repeat until new dialogue triggers.

1.) Every dialogue that prioritize science above everything
2.) She also mentioned that she is eager to meet people of The Institute. Maybe every decision that siding with them would rose your relationship with her
