Is there a cheat or mod to remove building restrictions?
I dont mean the object count, there is a cheat engine hack for that i know. I mean that the game wont let me place tings at certain places because the collision is overlapping. Its ok that this is on by default. but i would like to enter a cheat and place things anywehre within my base, also with overlapping thins some times.

Atm it is realy hard to integrate existing buildings within my settlements.

I don't see why they added this, there really no need for it. It's a singleplayer game so they don't need to account for people making bases that could jeopardize the balance of the game, so it should be as free as possible. I'm sure there will be a mod for it soon, I sure hope there will be.

I prefer to just use console commands to move items around without any clippin issues.

Such as explained here

this guy explains it very well.

I think this is the type of mod you're searching for, called Simple Intersection:

It's not a balance isue, it's an engine stability issue. There is leeway on more powerful machines, but the limit they put on objects/tris in the settlement was set because it offered the best performance across all devices.

That's why it's mod-able. For those of us with rigs that can handle it. Also OP don't use the cheat engine thing. That's outdated. Use the no object limit .esp from http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1613 for a properly modded way of handling it.

Also simple intersection (as previously mentioned by Kauldwin) is probably what you're looking for.

I know ya meant building restriction cause of things in the way but I will say this anyway for those that don't know about it yet

Start dropping junk on the ground and entering workshop mode and scrap them manually, the auto scrapping in the workshop is useless cause if you don't build something that uses a junk piece, thats wasted build space when its stored.

scrapping items manually down to its parts will save on build space

I've lowered my build space as much as 1/5 or 1/4 when I found out about this

They were not talking about the object limit (OP specified that) which is what you're talking about.

And instead of glitching the system just grab the .esp mod that removes the limit all together. It'll save you time and carpel tunnel.

Go to the settlement's workshop.

Open the console. (~)
Click on the workshop and it should show the id of that when you do.

type the following commands:

setav 349 3675555555.00
setav 34B 3675555555.00

Exit the console (esc)

Enter workshop mode (hold V) ... and you should see that the Size graph on the upper right is completely empty. It will stay that way. So you can build as much as you want until the game crashes. And eventually it will, so save often. (Use full save, not quick save)

Thats actually one of things I was afraid of, using that esp mod or console command maybe nice to remove the limit, but not worth it if you gamesave has a chance of being corrupted or making the game more unstable

Besides the game already has a good place to do a huge settlement which is speticle island

It will only potentially screw up that part of the map if you go over what the system can handle. You have to do this for each workshop to break the size restriction.

Which is why I say, save often, so that if you have to roll back after a bad change, you can do it easily.

I'm currently stuck, indeed .. I've built too much and now my game crashes when I get close to my settlement. It sucks!

:-( Go back to the most recent save you have that doesn't have the problem.
