Killing wandering trader ?

Hello fellow vault dwellers!

I have a question, i was travelling when i crosspath with a wandering trader, he happened to have a lot of pretty badass stuff and i happen to be poor and well equipped so you know things got a little crazy and whoosh no more trader.

When i went to loot his body all the cool stuff (~14 K capsules worth of gear) were gone,i also killed his brahmine and not a single gear either :/

Is it the new way you got to play all nice and smooth or did i miss something ?

Bethesda just likes s***ing on your ability to kill merchants for their items. I think you could do it in FO3, then the different developer nipped that in the bud in FO:NV. Stupid. Doesn't make any sense but to punish the player for playing how you want to play. If you don't want players to kill the shopkeeper to steal their stuff, protect them more, don't make it impossible to loot their items.
