Lock Picking Problem - Super Fast
Guys, this is breaking the game for me. Its almost impossible to picklock due to it being super fast. I thought it is tied to FPS speed so i set the iPresetinterval = 0 and forced vsync for fallout 4 through nVida panel. Problem still persists.

The weird part that if i attached a controller, it works fine through the analog!!! and i don't like playing with a controller!!

UPDATE: It is fixed now. It was related to FPS and for some reason the Vsync wasnt working until i have modified the Pref.ini file to be "read-only" and making sure it is iPresentinterval = 0.

Thanks yeah. Reenabling vsync fixed it

how to enable vsync on nvidia graphics card?

Is there a way to fix this without turning vsync on? I hate using vsync. Its crap!

enable vsync in gforce controll panel first screen. massacher, no other fix that i know off. the fps works the same over the hole game, so to change it for just a part of it might be hard if not impossible.

I did that just now. It has fixed the problem but it also caps my fps to 60. Which will cause problems. I know it will. Bethesda really needs to fix this.

60 is optimum fps.

What problems is that likely to cause, nothing.

Well to be fair, Vsync causes input lag. Since this is a single player game, i can live with it but if it was multiplayer for me, usually is a deal breaker.

yes, you can cap your fps to 60 using nvidia inspector, RTSS, Precision, or any other program that does it.

This problem can also be caused if you have FRAPS running.

Just throwing this out in case somebody with fps problems has a use for it at some point:
rivatuner let's you cap fps at whatever you want and works both for your entire system or for a specific instance.

The issue with VSync is that if your machine dips below 60 FPS VSync can cause you to have horrible lag spikes because of how it calculates refresh rate. That is why I don't use it, because although my machine is a beast, I have to play games like Fallout 4 on medium/high settings to get the best performance with a lot of mods (this is because of the mods is why, if i was just going vanilla no mods I can run the game on high)

I'm getting this bug. It took me like 15 bobby pins to open a single simple lock because it turns so fast that as soon as I press the turn button it just snaps if it isn't in the perfect spot.

How has this not been fixed this long after the game's release?
