Why isn't there a section where all notes and holotapes go.. Like on FO3 and NV?
It's extremely frustrating trying to find a hollotape within all the crap in your infantory..

Why isn't there a seperte section in DATA like there used to be>?

I was thinking the same thing. I would like to be able to keep track of all the computer logs i read.

As long as you keep your Misc section tidy -- which you should be doing anyway -- it's not a big deal.
lilpopjim Nov 12, 2015 @ 10:55pm
Why should i keep it tidy anyway. "Which you should be doing anyways" ?!?!!?
alephenon Nov 12, 2015 @ 10:55pm
Well, for starters, it makes it a lot easier to find notes and holotapes.

Perhaps.. But i shouldn't need to.. Fallout 3 and new vegas both had this "feature"

Yet another thing modders will have to patch in
Crix Nov 13, 2015 @ 2:07am
You can bet on mods fixing a lot of peoples complaints, but have you tried the "Z" for sort when in the pip-boy menu?
architectbloke Nov 13, 2015 @ 2:10am
It's not bethesda's fault you're a messy hoarder who can organise his pockets. Also try the 'Sort' command.. Z or somehting.. I havn't used it myself.... cos Im organised!
lilpopjim Nov 13, 2015 @ 2:27am
Giggle.. Usually i don't take everything i see, but now i feel that i should for building up settlements etc..

Also.. I didn't see the toggle buttons at the button fr sorting as i'm not used to console UI ;)
MDuh Nov 13, 2015 @ 2:28am
wait what, making misc tidy? I thought u can't take out anything on the misc tab lol.

Yeah I don't know how they managed to downgrade the menus by making holotapes objects that stick in your ALL menu. If they want you to be able to sell the video game, make the damn video game separate.
lilpopjim Nov 13, 2015 @ 2:34am
I mean it's pretty cool but it's frustrating... + the sorting does nothing; thought it would catagorise everything
chebonaparte Nov 13, 2015 @ 11:51am

Todd Howard said he wanted everything in the game to have a purpose, so basically junk is no longer junk it has a purpose and now its own little section in the pip-boy. I'm starting to think I should've built a Strength build to carry all this junk around to bring back to HQ.
>Holotapes and notes used to have it's own section away from the Misc items

On topic though it's probably changed due to how holotapes work now. (Can contain games, be plugged into terminals, have to be "used" to read)
I like the new way they work so I won't complain but it'd be nice if notes and holotapes had their own section away from the Misc items.

Because giving them their own section to be easily findable would make far to much sense obviously!

Don't you have any respect for Bethesda and their hard work? They put a lot of effort into making the UI and inventory management worse with every new iteration! Believe me it's not easy to start with the mess that was Fallout 3's UI and find ways to make it even worse!

:)
