Designing my house leads to items falling through the floor?
I'm trying to set up my house and when I place items on tables and shelves they eventually work their way through the floor X_X is this a common issue? I really want to decorate but it's not possible at this point.

I did nothing custom, I just run the game as is and that's the way it works =(

Not sure, but I AM playing on ultra high when Nvidia suggested I play on low. The game seems to be running fine but could that be the problem?

No idea. You didn't provide any information about you frame rate, so I can't really say much.

Sorry, I'm a pc guy but I'm not a super tech pc guy. Not sure how to check framerate in a game. >_>

I don't have any issues laying stuff down around the house. Upstairs or downstairs.

Same here, running on Ultra with a 980Ti not unlocked the frame rate running 60Fps. spend a few hours building and decorating my awesome house. Went away, came back to one big mess. All the big things stay put but all the decoration stuff is on or in the floor or just completely gone :(

I've had one instance of this in the Castle, I put some food on a placed mounted shelf, and when I came back they were on the floor. Has only happened once, so I 'm not sure what the deal was.

Since posting this I've been watching my roommate play on PS4 and he's having the same issues, Items appearing half way between the surface of what they were placed on. Hopefully it's something they're going to fix so I can actually make my house super nerdy and decorated >_> these plates won't set themselves!

This is a known issue. On the XB1 50% of my items tend to fall right through the furniture, some of it specific and some of it not. I lost a Grognac comic into the abyss only for it to reappear 10 IRL hours later.

I had that happen with my Xbox One. For me, it was almost every item I placed on a shelf, desk, or table. Very annoying. As I recall, this was an issue with Fallout 3 as well. I hope they fix this soon as it takes much of the joy out of building your own place.

I get this issue. I think it could do with frame rate. Anything I place down i.e a desk fan and come back later it has fallen through the shelves. Even tried to place it using workshop and same issue.

I get 72 framerate cap - which is weird. I do wish to cap it to 60 like everyone else but theres a lack of guides on how to cap your framerate rather than uncap it.

Having this problem too, how do we report it to Bethesda/make sure they're aware of it?

I'm having this same problem, does anyone know what causes this and a possible fix? And Bethseda needs to know about this so they can fix it in the future.

I don't have a real fix, but if you enter the console with ~ and then do tcl to turn off clipping you can go into the floor and grab your lost items. Using the magazine rack doesn't lose your mags, luckily. It's only when I place normal objects and manoeuvre them with E.

I tried standing a bunch of Giddyup Buttercups around my settlement and when I fast travelled back I would find that they were slightly lower into the objects they were sitting on before eventually ending up in random places on the pavement around Sanctuary. (I) Don't bother with non static objects anymore.
