How do I make my companion wear power armor?

when ever you leave the armor, take your core with you or they will drain it, "Core's" weigh nothing as well

You have to have it on survival for enemies to be able to steal the suite

How do you tell someone to exit the suite is what I need to know? Had preston jump into a raider power suite and now I cant figure out how to get him to get out:/

You cannot remove the Power Armour suit from the Raider. You remove the external arm, leg, torso and helmet from dead opponets though. If alive you can sneak and steal the power core and he will get out then kill him and take the armor.

My son in law is playing on hard...he got out of his power suit to use a workstation and the settlement got invaded and one of the invaders jumped in his suit and started killing everyone...

So far I've only seen one skeleton that looks like you can take it then add parts to it later...it was dow the hill past the USAF satellite that's nearest to sanctuary sorry can't say exactly where it's been a while...I think it was a crash site ...can't recall but that is the general area...


Oddly enough got back in the game took about 20 steps and found another lol The Mass Pike Interchange location...there is a lift you can take to get up the bridge...now I snuck in killed everyone and saw power armor at the end...there is a shack just to the right of it...I ran in quick and killed the last guy... I imagine if you don't he would get into the suit and you would be out of luck getting the frame...

It can always get stolen, that's why you need to keep them safe. Makes just sense, why would a raider try looting everything, and not take a Power armor with a core in it?

As this is the top google result to answer the Fallout 4 question; How do I make my companion wear power armor? I thought I'd add a small addendum to the 1st response, in that you need a little distance when you rest over the power armour for the command to pop for a companion, otherwise I just found myself entering the armour, not the companion.

it does happen when its under attack they will get to power armor and raiders can get too beware if they die or may cause a bug that you cant tell em to get out of the armor cheers bud! beware remove power core anyways im looking for the answer how will i make the companion stay permanently to the power armor whenever i dismissed them they will get out of the armor hahaha

No one really answered the guy's second question, though: do your companions use up the fusion cores when they're equipped, or are you the only one who drains it?
