Armor and Weapon variations (visual)
Do they vary more with level progression? ..or?
I'm level 10, and so far all I've seen are 2 styles of chest piece, one style or arm and leg, all of them Raider, a gas mask, hooded gasmask, head sack, and head sack with hoses.
I have also Not yet found anything worthy of replacing my Vault suit as far as better stats go...

On the component armors, some are 'enchanted' or have better 'this or that stat.'
But the visual of any of it hasent changed since I was finding them at level 1.
This seems strange to me. Very minimal content so far, for armor, and its not that much different for weapons so far either. I've looted somewhere around 150 pieces of armor.
I keep waiting for something new.. but..

I know I am very low level still, but I am *really* starting to wonder, since I've explored nearly the entire top left Third of the map.

I have a few legendary items, but again, they look identical to things I found at level 1.

There is more variation to the generic clothes. This bothers me.
Enjoying the game otherwise. But I'm a little dissapointed with the cosplay factor.

Scribe Haylen's clothing set is the best looking that I've seen so far. And if I could kill her for it, I would. Starting to get desperate to see something new.

you can get that from traveling scribe trader in the same city
You'll start getting Leather Armor pieces soon, then there's Combat Armor and Metal Armor.

I'd assume there's more types, but that's all I've found so far.

Id like to see more full body armour so far only sets i seen are some armoured clothing thats non upgradeable. Otherwise leather and Metal armour just cover shoulder pads or knees elbows and the chestplate is a bandlier without any actual armour.

I guess thats alright then, its just early yet.

What i dont understand is why you cant upgrade clothing that has armour like your vault suit. ITs very frustrating. Im level 16 and so far armour has been very dissapointing and i really enjoyed crafting weapons. Unless im missing something crafting changes on armour are minimal and most of things you can wear you cant craft.

Never bothered checking since the Vault Suit is pretty much all I need for that. :D

The vault suit is ok, but I dont want to clear the entire map before I find something better than it.

I've found a few 'suits' that dont allow the modulated armor over top, and while a trenchcoat or brotherhood fatigues look good.. their defense ratings are pathetic.

Im into the 30's with vault suit, and raider pieces. All other full body suits I've found have like 5dr, and 0 - 2rad resist..

So tired of looking at the same blue suit.

For now, I guess I'll just have to abandon all defenses in the name of looking different.

Also, to me, it feels like they left things intentionally bare.. Incoming pay-to-cosplay DLC..
Or mods. This fallout feels like they made it for modders.

They provided a great crafting system, with minimal content.
Some solid framework for additional content.
I just want to be able to craft my own weapons, not just modify what I find.

Quick question, is the little thunder bolt on armor stats rad resistance?

Energy. Rad Resist will be the little radiation/biohazard symbol, but it's not on most armor normally.

Ohh alright, thanks dude.

There are, as far as I can tell

1. Leather pieces.
2. Raider pieces.
3. Metal pieces.
4. BOS pieces.
5. A set of 'tactical pieces' - don't know what they're called, just seen a picture of them.

And there's a traveling merchant who sells things like 'Mantis sets'.

But there are only a tiny number of clothing options that will allow you to use these pieces. Dresses for example won't let you use the chest pieces. Anything lableled 'outfit' - no pieces allowed at all.

There don't seem to be any visual differences between the mods except color - unlike guns.

This *is* annoying. The methheads in shacks can make their own guns but we can't.

But its all part of the content gating - like level requirements for perks. Can't allow you to get that 'end-game' weapon locked in the Master safe too early now, can we.
