Warhammer 40k Total Conversion Mod
So I was playing today and realized that this game would be the perfect paltform for a Warhammer 40k Mod.

The could already function as a Warhammer 40k game with some imagination.

So just from my experience so far I can see the a total conversion mod working something like this (just spitballing ideas here)


The World - The world with all its radiation and war torn nature could work very well as a Imperial World being warped by Chaos. The radiation can be seen as the spread of chaos and more specifcally Nurgle's rot. All the mutant creatures we currently see could be changed (with a lot of mod magic) to being the spawns of chaos. Probably with a Nurgle flavor to fit the nurgle's rot/radiation theme. Perhaps use more gothic looking buildings in the area to give the impression of a fallen Imperial World.

Character: I would think character creation would be where you also pick your faction. Different starting location, relations, gear and quests. You are locked into this faction however. I can imagine a ton of repeatable quests just like the ones we currently have in game as well as being able to have greater NPCs follow you in these quests or follow existing npc squads into battle.

Brotherhood of Steel = Space Marines. - The power armor in this game is the absolute near perfect format for Space Marine armor. Throw in how the Brotherhood of steel function and appear in the game it wouldnt be a very big stretch at all to turn them into the Emperor's Finest!

Institute = Eldar - Secretive and uses high tech weapons. The institute would make for an excellent eldar proxy as their role and function in game would go closely with that of the eldar.

Super Mutants = Orks - WAAAAGGGHHH!!! They are mean and they are green. Slap in some voice mods and ork skins and boom! You got yourself a "rite proppa WAAAAAGGGHHHH!!" who have come to the planet looking for a fight. I would give them more meele weapons on average though.

Ghouls = Nurgle's zombies - Citizens of the Imperial World who have been forever warped by the touch of Nurgle.

Gunners = Traitor Guardsmen - Former Imperial Guard who have devoted themselves to dark gods. Throw in some power armor wearing ones to function as Chaos Space Marines and you have a party!

Raiders = Not really sure what to do with these guys. Perhaps lump them in with the Gunners?

Minutemen/Friendly settlements = Loyal Imperial Guardsmen still holding the line.

Then there are all of the minor factions or ones with not enough presence to function.

So theres just some spitball ideas of possible factions. Imagine the game with all of these factions being reskinned to look as above with proper sound files. Just some basic ideas here.

TLDR: WAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!

So what do you guys think of these ideas? What changes would you make and what are your ideas for a Warhammer 40k mod for this great game? What specific things would you want for each faction?

your biggest problem will be copyrights.

but yeah, wh40k would be really fun in a fallou4 playstyle... and we all know the weapons fit.

Could definitely see a WH40K conversion mod working for Fallout 4.

As for what to do with raiders my suggestion would be traitor guardsmen in service to Chaos. The power armored ones could be made into Chaos Marines as well.

oh yea, GW would be all up on whomever dared to make a 40k mod lol. that would be nasty.

Not to mention, as seen in NV, they are also divided into chapters and adhere to a codex. Perfect match, with a little Adeptus Mechanicus thrown in. Perhaps the Iron Hands, as they have closer ties with the AdMech than most chapters.

Raiders are chaos cultists, while the Gunners could be a renegade (not necessarily chaos?) guard regiment.

They're also referred to as Greenskins during some quests. Though they could also just be regular mutants, those are enough of a problem for the Imperium on their own in hive cities and the like.

Warhammer? Naw this is FallHammer. We have the noble Battle Marines, the Savage orcs, mysterious Elders, Oldcrons, and all the forces of Anarchy assembled in a 100% all original universe that may have been inspired by 40k.

Has the devs for the Fallout 3 and NV conversions said anything about a conversion for Fallout 4?

Yea, there are a lot of bugs and beasts to turn into Tyranids and Genestealers. Deathclaw/Hive Tyrants or more Mirelurk Queen territory?

Yess. But please not a primitive reskin of the base game, dialogue intact and all. That's a turnoff. But yes today i realised that impact landing + Jetpack + X1 = Assault Terminator. And the game mechanics and even enemies lend themselves perfectly to a conversion. This could be prettier than the Ultramarines film, and with full control and immersion.

Whole Brotherhood is a chapter of Space Marines now(thanks todd). They have a capital ship. Power Armor is basicly spacemarine armor, they use drop ships to get on to earth, those officers are comissars. God-Emperor of the Mankind Maxon is literally young and not hooked up on machines emperor era. Hmmm what else i remember this much now

I would totally help work on this, if I can get somebody to do the meshes, textures, models, programming, I just do stats and other misc things with the GECK, like ballistic damage, energy damage, healthpoints, what equipment is on who, race, haircolor, eye color, scale, item-in-wold-placement, etc, I'm a GECK jockey.


Granted I'd need to learn this entirely new GECK... (when it comes out that is..)
Uhh, I think this'd be awesome if we could pull it off.

Nar, imho it makes a better Necromundo conversion

BoS = Forge world or Mars zealots
Raiders = Gangers
minutemen = friend noble houses Guard conscripts
gunners = opposing noble houses Guard conscripts
super mutants = mutants
ghouls = hive plague zombies
insititue = redemptonists or excommunicated Mars cult
