Can't fast travel?
Everytime I try to fast travel it says "fast travel is currently unavailable from this location". Everywhere I go I cannot fast travel. Any help?

You cant fast travel indoors
I'm having the same issue. No matter what I do, I cannot use fast travel anymore. I took the Dangerous Minds quest, but then fast traveled to Country Crossing because it was under attack. After that I went to Finch Farm and did the quest in Saugus Ironworks, then went to Greentop Nursury and did the quest to save that place too. After that is when I noticed that I was not able to fast travel any longer.

Ok here's what I have.
It was working fine before. But at some point I started getting the error about "fast travel not available from this location". And I think it was around the same spot [heavy breathing] talks about. I'd get the message again when I actually tried to do it.
Alternatively, I tried to use the vertibird travel. I'd get on it and nope. Had to get back down. Except no error this time.
The message would pop up as soon as I went to the MAP tab in the Pip-Boy.
So, since then I've been using console commands to jump to places, which is very annoying and frustrating.
Now, once I did the railroad quest, and opened up a new HQ to fast travel to, I stopped getting the error.
But, it still doesn't work! I open up my Pip-Boy, choose a location, click it and... nothing.

HELP OMG.

HOLY CRAP! This actually fixed it! I knew we had the general area right for the bug, because Listening Post Bravo isn't that far away from where I noticed the bug. Thanks to the guy that figured this out!

I was getting stuck with no fast travel after completing the Kellogg mission so I dug around and found this.
During normal gameplay (not VATS, terminal, convo, etc), open up the console and type "DumpInputEnableLayers" without the quotes of course.
In the data dump (shouldn't be large, mine was only 2 lines) look for Disabled Layers and for the Fast Travel Disabled line. It should have an integer number after it. Mine was 0.
Type "ResetInputEnableLayer #" without the quotes and where # = to the layer that mentioned Fast Travel Disabled.
You should now be able to fast travel again. I believe the game runs a script to stop you from being able to do something like traveling or shooting during cut scenes and such and then the script is supposed to be removed after but in some cases it isn't, so this should do it.
