How do you remove a self-placed map marker?
I can place a new marker removing the old one but I don't have any option to just delete it.

You just click on the marker and you have 3 options one of which is remove marker

No, click elsewhere and you have three options.

So I am having this problem as well.
Only thing is when I click the marker itself I get "Fast Travel There?" and to choose between Yes, No and Place Marker.
Choosing ANY of them doesn't do sh!t apart from closing that dialogue.

I know from earlier and from Skyrim that I get rid of it by left-clicking somewhere else that is empty and just click Remove Custom Marker or something like that.
Problem is, left-clicking on empty space on the map just moves my marker, no pop-up.

I've tried Alt+ left and right-click, as well as Shift+ and Ctrl+
This is really starting to get annoying.

As mentioned earlier, click somewhere away from where your marker is and you should get the choice to remove the marker.

Nope, still nothing. A bit away, on-the-other-end-of-the-map-away-from-the-marker... nothing. Well, apart from the fact that now my marker is there.

Do you have any HUD/UI mods installed? Or any map/pipboy enhancements?

It's possible one of those is breaking your map. If you have them, either uninstall or reinstall - especially HUD/UI mods. They aren't playing well with the 1.5 update.

DEF_UI works just fine with the 1.5 update as it has been upgraded

Hey thanks for this. I had a marker on Old North Church and couldn't figure out how to get rid of it.

I was trying this myself because it was annoying after marking Diamond City. I was able to clear the marker. Here's how I did it.
  • locate the self marker
  • zoom in
  • move the screen so that the point of reference is out of view but the marker is showing, but the location itself is off the map
  • click the marker, and you will have the option to remove it

You all keep giving the same advice but it doesn't work.
Sometimes it does but when it doesn't, it's just like broke.

The map is super buggy anyway.
It keeps saying I have put my power armour in places I've not been or want to go and I have trouble clicking to fast travel there as the power armour thing is taking over the clickable segment on the map!
I also will have my marker randomly move all over the map, or the map will go fully black and have a marker hovering in the dark.

It's just janky as all hell.
