Wire switches to ceiling fan?
Unless I just missed something, wiring switches to ceiling fans seems impossible.

Bethesda: "It just works"

Bull ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. Can't even make a proper wiring system.

You don't wire TO lamps. You wire to the objects found in the switches category with the porcelain tops.

In order to do the wiring in the game you need real world electrical experience.

It says it right here:

"Minimum Requirements: 3 years real world experience or a Master Electrician qualification"

Ok, so can somebody who has the Minimum Requirements tell us plebs how to wire a ceiling fan?

What I've tried so far is to put a generator behind the house, with a large pylon.
I put a ceiling fan in the house - doesn't do anything

Then I tried putting a conduit near the ceiling fan and running a wire from the pylon to the conduit.
Nothing

Also tried putting a switch on a nearby wall with a wire running to the pylon.
Nothing

Can't seem to wire the ceiling fan directly, so I'm not sure what to try

I attached a conduit(?) to the house and the ceiling fan and lights start working. Just make sure to attach wire from conduit to a tower-thingy and then to a generator. As long as there is sufficient, nearby electricity.
i just add a power relay connector to a wall and power the relay then add the fan to the area of effect of the relay which is a couple feet and it insta-powers anything in that little area.

Yep - Conduits have a limited range where they transfer power to lights.

yup found out that if I want to use a switch for those lights, the switch has to be the ONLY thing with power supplied to it within about 5 feet
