I just got to Diamond City and this is happening and it's very frustrating. I'm about to try the console command thing now
You have to open the console, click on Piper, then type kill. It does not work if you "kill" McDonnough.
open console, clic on piper , write: kill , ENTER and have fun!
Had it turned off all game because it's more than shoddy and very annoying in most if not all dialogues...does Bethesda not have QA? Getting a softlock because you disabled a simple option in the menu? Not even with console commands or .ini tweaking? So livid right now!
Also, the only reason the dialogue camera is required in that scene is apparently ONE SHOT of the mayor walking out of the room. The rest is just the standard back and forth camera from EVERY OTHER DIALOGUE IN THE GAME.
P.S. : For those wondering how to turn it off if you're stuck, just open the menu while you're in the dialogue, head into Options --> Display --> Dialogue Camera.
do the commands ->
tcl to enable no clip
tfc to enable free camera
tfc to disable free camera
tcl and you can walkt.
It is a dialog camera issue. The right solutions are above.
