How to attach looted mods?
I cant figure out how to attach mods I find to weapons in the workbench. All I seem to be able to do is to produce new ones????

perk?

If you have a mod appropriate to the weapon, it will give you the "attach" option rather than "build". They have to be for the base item you are trying to attach it to.

remove the mod from the item (i.e. give it the stock mod for the weapon), and then load the same mod on another of the same type?

What I mean is that I in my inventory have several mods that I have no idea how to use at the workbench. When I click the mod in the inventory list in Pip boy it tells me I must be in the workbench to attach a mod. But in the workbench iI cant find the already existing mod, just produce new ones from junk parts.

I'm having this same issue. Can't figure it out or find someone who has an answer on how to fix this.

It lists what you need to make the mod. If you already have the mod then you can equip it just like if you were making the part, but it won't consume your junk.

Make sure you transfer your mods to the workbench first. Then go into your weapon. Under the mods instead of "build" it will say "attach".

Okay, I have Gun Nut 4, am level 43, transferred all 4 of my Deliverer-specific mods to the workbench, but when I select Deliverer and click one of the related options, none of these named mods ever show up (though they show up in the Transfer menu), and I have no way of installing them. What else am I missing??

You're at the weapon crafting station and not the workbench, right?

Hit 'craft', select Deliverer, select the existing mod you want to replace (or empty slot ala 'No Muzzle' or whatever the exact text is), choose replacement.

Yes, I can selected normal mods with no problem - but I have no option to select the named mods (such as "Deliverer Calibrated Power Receiver") for the weapon.

the deliverer mods are the same mods as for any other 10mm, theres no difference. seems bugged.

I think I noticed this when I was messing around with a named weapon or armor, some times it doesn't register that you can put them back...

Seriously? Check the post dates. This thread was started the day after launch day. Google likely wouldn't have helped much then. And why are you resurrecting a thread that died 8 years ago just to say that?
