Yup. And the inventories refresh every day. Between a settlement-built weapon emporium, KL-E-0 (and maybe Daisy, too) in Goodneighbor, Arturo and the surplus store in Diamond City... availability is pretty good once you have an economy going.
Bottom line, cost 80 caps to "recharge"
Totally agree the use of fusion cores is perfect with just the right amount of juice to get one to their destination. Love how power armor was implemented in the game from the hud setup to the visceral combat with armor flying off due to damage and the ability to carry more while wearing it. Fun fun fun :D
