Companions vanish at Red Rocket

So I just sent Cait and Dog to Red Rocket. I fast travelled back there and both if them are missing. It then says that only one person is at RR. Any help?

I think the Dog doesn't count as a person in the settlement overview, so it's normal to only see 1 person count. Also I noticed when sending people from settlement to settlement, it sometimes takes a bit until they appear there. They can even appear there out of the blue, like teleporting there while you are there. Just give it a bit.

If you want to see dogmeat anywhere then I think you have to build a doghouse. The first time I sent him to Sanctuary I found him at a doghouse outside my walls. The second time I had destroyed all of the doghouses and couldn't find him. Then I built a doghouse inside my walls, left, came back and now he's there.

Before I sent them to RR I had nobody there and it said 2 people where there, then i checked Sanctuary and it said 1 person. I'll try a wait, cheers for the help
