Tommy Lonegan Bug?

Just cleared the Combat Zone, but I can't talk to Tommy. Cait just follows me around everywhere now but I can't start dialog with either of them.

This didn't work for me. My mission was bugged with killing the raiders, when I killded the last one, it only came up with "eliminate the remaining raiders". Luckily after wallking around for a bit, that suddenly ticked over to "talk to Tommy", but he's just crounched and nothings happening, doesn't even bring up the "talk" option like it used to.

You could also be suffering a bug that plagued my saves and put me right off the game until its been heavily patched (they only seem to still be scratching at the surface bugs after all this time). The poroblem manifests itself by disabling dialogue with random NPCs - they will go through their various scripted welcomes but no dialogue menus ever appear, tried everything to fix my saves and its several patches later but still broken.

Wow this was a long time ago, I long since lost interest in Fallout 4 and that didn't work for me either. I ended up deleting her out of the world as she kept getting in the way an attacking me when I fell in my power armour.

It was actually no biggy, I just loaded a save to before I went into the Combat Zone and this time, instead of looting the place and silently killing all the raiders, I just walked to the front in my X01 Power Armor and when they turned hostile, killed them all. Made sure I got Cait sorted and stuff before I started looting.

I read somewhere that the Combat Zone was actually meant to be an arena you could take part in etc, so stands to reason it'll be a bit buggy cause of how they changed it.

I understand how the bugs can sometimes get a bit overwhelming, this is my second time in two days I have to go back hours to rework a buggy mission but overall it's still a very fun game. Maybe next time I'll wait for the GOTY edition like I wanted to, just couldn't wait 1 - 2 years.

Eh, it's a good game, but a ♥♥♥♥ fallout game imo.

i had no probs with Tommy 1st playthrough.

Now in a different playthrough- side mission to "Talk to Tommy"

he keeps staying hostile no matter what i do

the bugs in BOS missions put me off f04 a while

For anyone who finds this thread I found how to fix it, Its a pain in the butt but is just as bad as the skyrim one with the dragon you kill to prove your a dragonborn

type showqueststages cz

then go down each and type setstage cz on each that is not done. Keep doing this exiting the console and entering till it says you can get cait as a companion. Then talk to her once and keep skipping dialogue till you can back out by trying to move. Then set each stage that is still not complete till you get to talk Tommy and complete the quest from your Misc section for quests.

The ones with no info are stages that i am not sure. Make sure to do each in order and exit console each time till like i said the Cait joining you part then try to progress and if it does nothing start progressing till you get talking with Tommy to work where he makes comments to you. Then do each till the complete stage

For me this bugs out a good amount of the time right after you kill the raiders. and no i am not using mods on the save files this happened on but it does happen on the mod saves as well a good amount of time for this one quest.
