Major Bug: Constant +5 Rads per Second
After getting in a vertibird that landed in water, i am constantly getting a +5 Rads everywhere i go.

Nothing i tried seems to work, the only option i can think of now is reverting to a save 4 hours back.

Are you sure it's not just a weather effect? There is a certain type of weather where it will give you +5 rads every once in a while (usually with thunder effect).

However if you landed the vertibird somewhere in the water, why not just try flying the vertibird again to another location?

Same thing happened to me. I went back to the pond and swam around a bit and it fixed it.

Solved it: The game thinks your in water. If you fast travel to someplace on land, the game's logic where it thinks your in water will stop and you can continue normally.

I have had this same problem (Contracted it at another place but the issue ws similar). When I was in PA I had +2 Rads. Out of PA it would go to +8 Rads. If I reloaded the game it would stop but as soon as I then entered my PA it would start all over again. Fast traveling would also stop it but getting out of the PA would make the whole thing start over again. So it was a cycle I couldnt get out. I tryed everything from going to a doctor to eating stuff that gave me Rads to going into the place where it all started and got out of the PA underwater and in it again. Really everything. Consolecommands wouldnt help either.

BUT!!!! When I disabled all my mods and loaded the game it was gone. The whole bug was just gone. So I saved the unmodded game where the issue was fixed and loaded all my mods again. Now I can continue with the new savegame with the mods and without the permarads.

SO,if you are using mods it might take you a while when not using a mod manager like Nexus Mod manager (NMM which I use) but this procedure might help.
