so now for Fallout 4, untill AMD get around with driver update I've turned off crossfire, its running fps 60 to dips to 45 on a single card, still with ultra setting.
If you are trying to get better FPS without sacrificing much visual quality then turn off Anti-Aliasing and turn tesselation down to 4X. I personally am using the non-beta drivers and seem to be getting better performance with those. AMD should release beta drivers optimized for Fallout 4 here soon. I have 2 R9 290's and am about to try out crossfire with the game and I'll report back with how it goes.
