Does loot respawn?
I can't really find information on this but does loot respawn?
I did notice that raiders will reoccupy buildings but if loot always respawns then it gives me a good reason to keep looting every house.

I believe it does. I've noticed locked containers respawn as well.

I'm not sure all loot respawns, but medkits seem to

i noticed in some locations, respawns are extremely fast. For example the Thicket Excavation. I loot absolutely everything there, I come 2 ingame-days back...Everything is there again, from the locked containers to the scrab that was just laying there. Another example: If you go from Concord to Thicket Excavation (yes again) there is a cooking place with a few containers there, with 2 dead people always laying by the containers (don't worry they stay naked xD). This cooking place is the most used location for random encounters, from Mine traps, Ghouls eating from corpses to a rad scorpion sourrounded by Raider corpses (which is also dead by the way). Every single ingame-Day something new. I must say they kinda overdid the respawning of loot and random encounters.

I've also noticed areas I previously cleared respawned some loot in containers I'd previously checked, but not the loot sitting around, like fans..

You can actually put Bedford Station on the list to with scrab-respawn.
Stuff sitting around like fans do seem to respawn. 'I've even had a Sniper rifle respawn (randomized, not the same as last time I took it).

Yeah some stuff respawns. That one building near the castle where you gather before you attack it, a few mines on the counter and a bit of other stuff in that building respawns very frequently. It's kind of weird to see those mines respawning all the time. I mean who places them there all the time? Weren't they placed there before by that minuteman guy for me in preperation for the fight?

was wondering the same thing, looks like some spots do at the moment and some dont ?
Most locations I've revisited have respawned after about 3 days game time. That includes junk and chests re-locking themselves with more things inside.

it is really stupid, but loot does respawn. i can't express how surprised i was when someone decided to place a bunch of junk in the buildings i had already cleared out. there must be someone who like the wastelands to be cluttered.

if not the game would die out quickly, you would never revisit any of the minor locations and money would be so little the economy of the game would collapse.
Or would you like that?

A) revisiting the same locations over and over again is not my idea of a good time.

B) the "economy of the game"? seriously? what does that even mean? you don't need to revisit minor locations to make caps. you can literally farm for caps...

A) Well I like to go back to certain locations because of the atmosphere at that location, like the lore around it or just how badass it looks.

B) it's basic economics, supply and demand. People in the wasteland need certain items to build up their houses, maintain their houses/weapons etc. and if there isn't new stuff to be found the prices would go up atleast double overnight. So yes if you find legendary items you would get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of money, but if you need to buy say Ductape you will have to pay a lot of money because it's nowhere to be found.
I know that's not how the economy in the game really works, but then again stuff in the game is really expensive, just think of the shipments you can buy in bulk.

I really don't understand people who complain about this respawn thing.
By the way, that is a timer one can control via mods.
FOr those of you who find this a great outrage, rather than whining about it like a little ♥♥♥♥♥, why
don't you go to Nexus and get a mod or two that already address this very issue for people
like you?

The solution for this has been out for days now.

That is why those of us who love these games despite bugs, glitches, love this game series. The mod factor. Really, there is no reason to wait months, tools and fixes are arriving
daily at NExus.
And yes, the true best fixes wont arrive until after the toolset is out.
But for this , no reason to wait.

Go fix your game and leave me alone.

I think the problem is that there are quite a few players who do not have the PC version. Many have the PS4 or xBox version for which game mods are not yet available.
