Not sure what the problem could be as it sounds like you're doing exactly what you're meant to do.
If you're willing to upload your save file I'll walk through the door for you.
I meant walk through legitimately. It might work for me, meaning your VATS won't risk being broken. But if you'd prefer to noclip, that'll probably work fine too.
Oh, I see what you mean. Okay, we'll try it. How do i get you my save file?
It'll be.. one of those. Check which is the most recent and upload it somewhere like.. Actually, I'll just add you. Not sure if I'm allowed to link upload sites on the forum, and there's no reason to spam this thread.
I'm trying to get out.
There is a known issue that if the door-opening animation fails to play, you may lose access to VATS.
It's not the noclipping that causes it, it is the activationa of the console.
If you find yourself in this situarion where you don't have VATS after a failed door-opening animation, I've made an Imgur album explaining the cause and fix: http://imgur.com/a/770N4
Here's a short textual summary of the fix:
1. During normal gameplay (not in VATS, a terminal, a conversation, a menu, etc.) , open the console and run the command 'DumpInputEnableLayers'
2. If you see a Layer there, note it's number. Not the hexadecimal one, the normal integer one -- such as '0'.
3. Run the command 'ResetInputEnableLayer [#]' to remove the restrictions that layer had.
