Help with BUG for Miscellaneous Quest? "Meet Ness at the crash site"

Does anyone else have trouble with talking to NPC Ness for Miscellaneous quest "Meet Ness at the crash site"?
she will not talk to me and the quest marker is not on her as it is for other NPC, it is on the ground near her..

Worked fine for me. I had half a mind to kill her and find out what was in the secret compartment, but I'm trying to be a "good guy" so I didn't.

I cleared the quwst by picking her pocket for the key.. i was standing right in front of her.. seems she could not see me, guess is why she would not talk...

So when you pickpocket her you loose the quest.

I went to the crash site first and then met her randomly and she still asked if I wanted to go, I told her I had looted the secret compartment and she just said 'okay, see ya'.

emm yeah,,, i really think my bug for that game session was that for some reason the npc could not see me, she would twitch in my direction when i would click on her, but other than that, ignore me...

Having the same bug here. When I got to the crash site, raiders spotted me and Ness immediately engaged them. Then I accidentally exited my powered armor and before I could get back in, Ness STOLE IT and put it on, then TURNED on me and tried to kill me. I hadn't accidentally shot her at all. Double u tee eff.

LOL.. for reals she stole the armor.. that sounds made up....

She didn't speak to me. So I killed her. Killing her makes the quest fails and at the same time gives you another quest saying "explore the crash site" or something, I guess you just have to loot the key and open the chest.

That kinda seems like the sorta thing ness might do...

seriously though all we need is the quest ID here and we can pull a "resetquest (base id)" console command... or a "setstage (base ID) (quest objective ID)" might do as well.

maybe kill ressurect will do that trick?

i tried to use "kill" then "resurrect" on ness by the crash site, but I'm afraid she still stares blankly at me... acknowledging my presence with her gaze, though blithely disregarding me in every other way.

Seriously, if we had the quest ID we could use console commands.... but I don't know how to look up a quest ID.

Same, it's broken for me, too. Save/load didn't re-set whatever state she is currently in. Probably high on Jet...

Fallout Wikia has all the quests' IDs. Meet Ness at the Crash Site is 000684d0

I have the same Problem with Meet Ness at the Crash Site. I can talk to her, get
"yea", sometimes, or nothing. That is it. Quest marker on a rock where she would have stood, for her speech to you and the gunners. Oppisite of where your your to meet her. No hired gunners. I can pickpocket her for the key, and remove the quest that way, or shoot her and get the key, loot the hidden container and remove the quest. While yes the quest FORM ID IS 000684d0, we have no list of the stages. So I checked back to when I just got the quest, for the stage with "GetStage 000684d0" and got back "GetStage >>100.00" same as with just after getting the quest as I have now, from level 35 to now 85. With out the quest stages, can't tell where I'am at to see if i could set a different stage. Now with that, using a quick search on the internet, with the info from the Fallout Wiki for the Editor ID of DN123. I found out that their is an array and massive amout of code to look through, which I can't make out. By searching "fallout 4 DN123 stages"

So, Where is a listing of the quest stages, I can't seem to find one. Until their is one I'm stuck at stage 100. Or if i get Strong, will finish off Ness, which I would not like to do.
How do you find the stages, somthing went off with this array of data. Did not finish the quest do the the Smiling Larry bug of not showing up, he was right in front of where the quest was, when I went to complete it and tried to recruit he. But of course he never made it to Sanctuary Hills.
I went back to the Smilling Larry save of mine, and spamed the "GetStage 000684d0" It did not do anything from where we meet ( read out of"GetStage >> 100.00") , to the rock where my marker is stuck on my main save, where Ness talks to you and the Gunners. Until I elemated all the raiders, then when your to talk to Ness at the hidden compartment it changed to "GetStage >> 140.00". Then I talked to Ness and it went to "GetStage >> 250.00" I pushed Ness to the Hidden comparment left hand side. I tried to set stage, to see if it would make her talk. But No Luck. The quest in the Pip-Boy would not change from meet ness at the crash site. Marker is still where she makes her speech. Until i try upping the stage number, I don't know. Ness is still mute, and I can't talk to her. Something went wrong.
As always make a Hard Save before trying any of the console commands. It would would remove the quest but not give any xp. It seem to be the same as just pickpockting which would make her hostile if she was not mute, and make cause problems in the test cell, with those in it? I might just be best to finish off Ness and take the key from her body, it fails the meet at crash site quest part, with "GetStage >> 150.00" No notice of anything in the quest list or stats. I don't know.
Let me know if you figure this one out.
