on character creation, is there a way to change skin color besides selecting a different face

Yeah, you can set the tone for the skin. Can't remember exactly where the option is, but should be under a menu while editing the face itself (it'll have options like dark, olive, bronzed, etc)

Select the edit face option with 'F" then highlight anything but the eyes and press "T"
