Tradecraft/deacon bug
Currently, after grabbing the prototype during the quest "Tradecraft" deacon endless says something along the lines of "lets meet up later", but doesn't move from his spot. I've tried moving via console commands, killing him (again, by console command and guns), enabling and disabling him, but nothing seems to work. Is there a solution to this and/or does anyone possibly know what the quest states are so I can force the game to complete the quest?

Edit: Courtesy of Polymorphic, try "movetoqt RR102"

I'm having the same issue. I tried using the placeatme command in front of church to try to move the quest forward but it doesnt work, he just starts heading back towards the initial location.

Same thing happening here except the quest marker tells me to go to the church until I get there, at which point it just jumps to another part of the map.

Yeah, that's the bug pretty much, it seems like it gets caused when someone is talking to you, and you either move too far away or something happens to them (happened later on with allie during one the mission to retrieve something for the institiute for their reactor where she fell somehow while traveling on an elevator and "died")

I'm getting EXACTLY the same thing.

After much frustration, I was able to fix it by using the command "movetoqt RR102". This brought me to the part of the quest where he was SUPPOSED to open the door but did not and I could continue normally from there.

A reload of my save worked for me.

Yep this worked for me too! Just save then reload right there and he'll behave as normal

I tried no clipping first, the only way that worked, was reloading my save. I save pretty frequently (especially Quick Save), and you should make it a habbit, in any Bethesda Game.

I had this exact issue - ignored it for a while and other fixes listed didn't work. Managed to get it working by using console to move Deacon to me and talking to him. After this, he went back to the church without a hitch:

prid 00050976 moveto player

Okay, this is WAY after the fact, but you can use the following command:
prid 50976 moveto player
To move Deacon to your position. Then, aim at Deacon with your crosshair and type the following into console:
recycleactor
This should allow you to progress with the mission as it will reset Deacon's AI.
