I got the molerat disease. How can I cure it?
I'm wondering if I got it during a certain quest involving mole rats, which I shall not name here.

I wonder if I may have gotten the disease by (selflessly) giving away the vaccine?

Is there a way to cure it or cure diseases in general? Thanks!

you can use the console command: player.additem 00055f10 1 to add the vault 81 serum into your inventory if you want to cheat to get rid of it. If not then you're stuck with it forever.

Yes... we reached that conclusion... Monday.

I wouldn't mind this at all, if my screen wouldn't have gone all green on me like 5 hours after the whole thing happened.

Am I seriously stuck with a greenish screen for the rest of forever due to this?

Check the solution mate, we gave a lot of solution in this topic.

What do you mean greenish screen? I have the disease and my son's character has it, and there is no visible screen difference, just the -10 on the hit points.

Ulitimately its a *10 HP* hit. Which is negligable at first level, let alone later on. Either use the console to remove it or accept it. No need to reload a game and try over and over again to do that area without getting hit.

Its another example of Bethesda making a nod towards consequence and how rough the world is *supposed* to be but not having the balls to actually stick you with a serious penalty.

As it is, you choose between giving the serum away and getting a room or . . . not and taking a 10 HP hit. There's hardly a choice between living with a minor cough and letting someone die.

That's a persistent night vision effect. Do a search for how to remove the night vision effect and you'll be good-to-go.

That's the thing about this quest. Bethesda could have made a very interesting quest with actual consequences. They stepped away from their usual song and dance with a permanent status effect. Then they gave it an absolutely pitiful debuff.

It would have been interesting if it kept getting worst as time went on. then you had to go on a cure quest with Curie to try to find ingredience to replicate the cure.

Yeah I figured it was a seperate glitch, and tied these two things together since ithappened a bit after the molerat event, and it was the only effect I had.

It's fixed now, and I don't mind losing 10 hp, it's pretty much nothing compared to saving the kids life. You selfish bastards who didn't save him :D

What would be cool if over time it turned you into a ghoul =)

Nope - You'll still very much get the disease.

Don't take a companion, they get hit, you get the disease, sneak some, lay mines a lot, molerats are easy to kill fast, use vats and/or jet, pick them off and do not loot their bodies. I did a run, didn't get touched, looted the bodies, got the disease, though, on a run with PA, looting the bodies didn't effect me, puzzler.

Just get a mod. There is a mod that is truly immersive you need to finish this quest first and gain high infinity to curie to able to craft the cure.

Or get a mod that makes you immune when using a power armor or hazmat.
