I Found out the the F and G(Left and rigth mouse buttons do the same) buttons on the makes buildings rotate and my mouse wheel can change the distance the object are from me. And since the building part is centered where the crosshair should be, using the mouse to look around allows me to place it in any direction.
For example, using the rotation controls on either the keybord or mouse, the mouse wheel for distance and simply aiming upward allowed me to place 2 turrets on the rooftoops on the sanctuary settlement aimed at the desired direction.
Of course, if its console then the controller should have similar controls from what I read online though I cannot tell you which since I dont use a controller myself.
Hope that helps
Then there's Hangman's Alley where building is nigh impossible. Failure to place or snap, so frustrating. Sorry, just me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'.
