Finding Quest ID

How do you find the quest id? Need help due to bugged quest

sqt – Generates a list of current quest targets. Can also be used to find Quest IDs.

type help and then the name of the quest, for example "help themolecularlevel" and it should give you some info in the console for that quest

You'd need to type
help <quest name> 0
But guessing the quest name is the same problem as guessing its ID

Actually, typing help <questname> doesn't actually do anything. I've tried. Hundreds of times.

thank you for the sqt bit, i used that in conjuction with help <xxxxxxxx> 0 and was able to find out the quest id, then i used the completequest xxxxx to fix a bugged one, if OP needs more details i can give them

I have a bug on The Slog: Greenskins where I went to a spot and killed all the mutants but it still says it still says I need to kill them. I spent about 10mins searching the whole place over and over and it's definitely a bug.

The problem is that even when I type sqt when it's selected, the current quest is actually Taking Independence.

Is there a listing anywhere with the codes? I also tried using the help command with the name of the quest but it doesn't do anything.

If anyone has 'Cambridge Polymer Labs' as a quest currently in completion, I'd love to know the ID.

Here is a link to where they will all eventually show up. It doesn't look like that quest is up yet, and neither is my The Slog: Greenskins.

type in console:

help quest 0
use scroll wheel or page up and page down

ok i have a bug with Ghoul Problem at Sanctuary Hills and my only objective says talk to preston but it also says i've completed it and cant set it as my active quest?

You obviously need to replace it with the name of the quest... And yes, it does work just fine.

I have the same problem, but none of these fixes work. I went through and force completed all the quests listed under sqt, however the one quest I have bugged wasn't listed. It's the "Defend Tenpines Bluff" quest given out before retaking the castle, and my current objective is "talk to Preston Garvey". The objective is shaded darker than any of the other active quests, suggesting that it failed. The quest failed because I couldn't turn it in to Preston, as every attempt to talk to him resulted in the start of the castle quest. I now have the castle up and running full force, and talking to Preston yields nothing. I'm stuck with this quest, any tips would be awesome.

I need the quest id for nuclear family when i enter the sqt commands nothing happens can u help??

Same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ issue for me man. I went through and completed all my quests and nothing fixed it. We need the quest ID from somone who hasn't bugged it out or completed it to, so we can restart it and then finish it.
