Im getting the same problem i can't unholster my gun either

It is suppose to be the r key but it is not working for me.

Unholster? Just click with your mouse, that should bring your weapon up. Unless for some unholy reason you're trying to play with just a keyboard, in which case I can't help you.

Holding R works fine for me.. Did you change your reload key? It should be holding your reload key.

NOPE it only started doing this once i got the "Show No Mercy" quest and couldn't get in the vertibird i reloaded my game and i can now get in the veritbird but can't use the gun and i can't use my player weapons either

just finshes another mission, i had the story mission where i had to kill kellog and when i talked to valintine it fixed it

The only way around this for me was to re-load a previous save.
