Moral Dilemma: Human Error Quest [Massive Spoiler]
Wondering if the Compund are just a bunch of lunatics or is there some truth to what they're saying? Should you let them kill the girl or rescue her killing a group of people who could very well be one of the good guys? Wonder no more. The girl is a synth. Loot her body when she dies and the truth is revealed.

"girl" which one
Teclado con Flan Nov 12, 2015 @ 2:22pm
I killed Dan (I didn't kill Dr Chambers) , then I went to Covenant (everyone there congratulated me because I didn't her) and now they are Minuteman . I didn't kill Chambers because I want to stop the Synths.

When i killed Dan my companion hated that action (Codsworth) , so that confuse me a little bit
¿did I make the correct decision?

If you killed the Dr please tell me what happend in Convenant. :clementineelf:

when you side with dan you have to kill everyone in covenent

i couldn't decide so i cheated it out to my liking, i killed dan and then used no clip to disarm the trap before the doctor activate it to kill the synth

that way only 1 death, the girl is still alive and everyone else is happy

sadly this sort of bug her out since she is suposed to be death you can't take her out after

it's a morally chalenging quest, sure the synths are abd but are they all bad? so far only the exo skeleton model attacked me, my reasoning was you can't genocide all of them because some of them are bad, it would be like killing every human because of the raiders

i wish i could have saved her but i did not wnat to ahve the blood of all these victims on my hand either :/

The real Amelia was kidnapped by the Institute and likely died from being experimented on. Don't feel bad about letting Synth Amelia die. She's one of the bad guys.

[Probably even more SPOILERS!]

There's a terminal in Compound which reveals that the key point in the SAFE test is Q3. The Q3 is about a hungry child in possession of a stolen item. Besides the "hug" answer there is nothing good there ("escort to item owner", "take item by force"). So if a person has failed this test (and if Amelia is considered a Synth she obviously has) you can assume that this person would do nothing good to a child. And in this case why bother

Too bad The Lone Wanderer is so SPECIAL that can't actualy fail this test himself. Well let's consider it examinator's fault
Kanjejou Nov 24, 2015 @ 11:38am
so they use the emotion you feel for children to determine if your human... i guess this test show that 90% of the wasteland is made of synth.

Actually this is incorrect. She is not "one of the bad guys"

(SPOILER ALERT) - THIS POST REVEALS THE SECRETS OF THE RAILROAD

Yes, Ameila is a synth, but she is not a "evil steal people in the middle of the night" synth.

She is a rogue synth who has escaped the institute with the help of Stockton (he is a railroad agent who helps synths who want to leave the institute).

Also, this mission is not about the life of a Amelia vs. the lives of those in covenant.
This mission is about how people with good intentions (Dr. chambers and the rest of the "we hate synths" crowd) going down a dark path.

Covenant has kidnapped and tortured many people - they say their methods are now 70% accurate - how many humans were kidnapped and tortured to death to get those numbers....and how many rogue synths (the good synths, who are against the institute).

This game is has many factions that have good intentions but are quite evil in their pursuits of THEIR version of the greater good (from the institute's perspective THEY are the good guys for example). Sounds like real life sometimes.....

So anyway, nothing wrong with siding with covenant or siding against them - just know, its not about amelia - she is just their latest victim in a long line of many.

shes a railroad synth not an institute plant the caravan master whos her "dad" is just acting as a cover. hes also a high ranking railroad asser.

There was no moral dilema with that quest.
Regardless of whatever anybodies stance is on synths, the Compound was torturing and killing humans based on arbitrary answers to a multiple choice test created by Vault Tech because they had a suspicion that there was a correlation between those answers and being a synth.

Whoever sided with the Compound because they thought it was the right thing to do did not properly analyze the situation before making a decision, especially if they are against synths.

I just based my choice on the "face value" impression I got from all the characters. Honest Dan seemed.. well, honest. The Covenant people were "nice" to the point of creepiness and obviously there was more to them than first met the eye. I wasn't keen on the Doctor you confront at the end, also I disapproved of the idea of torture. Plus Danse APPROVED of my choice. Mind you, I had to do the last bit twice as I think I killed Honest Dan the first time and Danse said "wrong move soldier", or something like that.

I always do as I'm told by hot synths. :)

I determined that their methods were too flawed. They were killing a lot of innocents and only had at best a 1/4 success rate? Sure they could have gotten better over time, but ... they were killing more civilians than the institute was.

So I went all Ad Victoriam on their hides and replaced them with better settlers. Their flawed scientific methods got in the way of our humanity.

Lesson you learn in Fallout, if people are nice to everyone, they're probably cannibals or monsters in some other way.

For me I thought covenant had the best intentions just went the wrong way about them they tortured people but were unsure about the question were the prisoners human or not while the institute KNEW that they were kidnapping humans and replacing them with synths proper moral dilemma this quest

Synths are not self aware. If youve been talked to FATHER he will tell you that it's a human-like robot.
