Clue at Earl Sterling's house?

This is a side quest at Diamond City. I can not find the clue.

Same here. I have picked up every item, checked for loose floor boards, hidden switches, secret drawers in the cabinets/chests.... can't get this one sorted out. I wonder if it is bugged?

What else have you tried... maybe you have thought of something I haven't. I also tried to get my dog to search the area.... Forgot about that one.

I sat on all the furniture too..in case it was like one of those chairs attached to a switch when you lean too far back on it haha.

Overthinking it I have a feeling.

Figured it out!

There is a surgery receipt attached to the left side, lower front of the couch. I guess in the cushions.
