I've also deleted all my config datas, changed my audio output options, reinstalled the game, made a complete cleanup, tried with different setting and nothing works, anyone's got a solution for this?

Hello guys

if someone still have the same problem this helped me.

I switched the language of the game in steam to an other and then back.

Got the same problem, voices/lips broke mid-game after I changed my game language from german to english. Currently trying to change it around again, hope it helps.

Has anyone managed to fix theirs?

Same bug (no NPC and character voice). Fixed now.
I think (not sure!) its a problem with FalloutModManager or a modification with ENBSeries OR some modifications in "Fallout4.ini" / "Fallout4Prefs.ini"
I don't know really how i fix it but when i try to find a solution..
-> I Check Fallout4.ini. First line "sLanguage" and modify this with different options like "fr", "en"..
-> I copy/paste "sResourceIndexFileList" etc.. (All "[Archive]" section) from a old "Fallout4.ini" backup.
-> I delete an curious unknown "Fallout4Prefs" file created in a new "Fallout4" folder my /Fallout4 good installation folder.. Don't know why but i delete this...

I ignore how or why but after, my problem is fixed...

Peace!

Okay I fixed it. There was a line in m Fallout.ini file, in the [Archive] section, that said: Fallout 4 - Voices_es.d2 or something similar. I deleted the _es at the end of it, leaving Voices.d2 , saved the file and it was fixed.

i have the solution!
-go to your fallout4.ini in my games
-then search for SResourceArchiveList= in [Archive] and corrct the Fallout4 - Voices_de.ba2 / Fallout4 - Voices.ba2.
After changing the language your fallout ini does not change this to.

Yesssss! This, this, this! Thank you so much Jigalo. After two days of searching for a solution and attempting many different fixes, this immediately fixed my problem. I had installed the "Better 3rd Person Camera" mod and that really only was a file that replaced my original Fallout.ini in order to readjust the camera view. When attempting your fix, it seems whoever originally made the .ini file was playing a Spanish copy of the game which, and as a result my voices and lip animations were not playing since I am using English. Thank you so much once again, I an undoubtedly confirm this method.

Still having this problem. Anyone else still having this? I've reinstalled 3 times now, and have tried every possible fix on the web to try and resolve this with no luck.

Same problem. Tried to modify the .ini file and it didn't work, but changing the language solved the problem.

CORRECT! guys change the Voices_BLA.ba2 in the fallou ini in your /Documents/mygames/Fallout4 folder !!! not in the steam folder! then it should work 100% confirmed. i did it myself, switched language from german to english and it didnt work any more because steam is too silly to write something in your documents folder
