does the dialogue wheel actually ruin the dialogue trees?
From what I have seen, you only have 4 options per dialogue choice, and a lot of people hate that. I just want to ask, is this a dealbreaker for the game because from my experiance with FO:NV (the only FO game I've played so far), you only have about 4-5 dialogue choices at any given time.

I'm looking for an actual, non-biased opinion from somebody that has actually played the game.

Not really.
As with BioWare games, there are always subsections you can expand and question further

It does feel pretty restrictive when your dialogue options are literally "Yes", "No", "What?", and "Sarcastic".

Between that and the voiced protagonists with set backstories...Fallout 4 doesn't give you much of a chance for your character's personality to shine through.

I have to say i like the new system. Many of the dialogue opinion in Fallout 3/NV were just the same just in a slightly different way. But i also miss somethings like having special dialogue options when you have high intelligence. But Overhaul i think its better and i like the voiced Protagonist

wow. I actually found people with differing opinions that didn't trash talk each other immediatly

so what you two are saying is that the wheel format feels limiting and restrictive, but the dialogue trees aren't super extrememly shallow, right?

Well, its always nice to have voice *wink Link*. Though DA:O protaganist..way better dialogue than DA2.
It works with Mass effect, DA:I. Give Bethesda another chance and TES6 will prbably have good dialogue wheel options.

I just really want to make sure that I will 100% enjoy this game (cause I'm a cheapskate that can't really afford more than one 60 dollar game a year)

If you wait a month, it will prob be on sale at Christmas and there will be several patches out to fix some early glitches and optimization problems. At least, thats what I'm waiting for

It's big step backwards in my opinion.

It does place a limitation upon modders. Quest dialogue must be limited to one of four. I know that is a small thing but it might matter to someone and having dialogue trees is just more work. I imagine the 4 chat choice thing is all about consoles that's all.

Maybe a F4 Script extender will remove that barrier
