Emogene cabot [spolier][need help]

im helping the cabot family to find emogene, im at the church place and talked to brother thomas who then unlocked the room where emogene is suppose to be, problem is, she isnt there, is this a bug or am i missing something?

I have the same issue I've been trying to figure out her Base ID which isn't going well

console command - help "Emogene Cabot" 4 to get her base id. The problem is, after you spawn her, still no options to advance the quest.

Ok, I searched high and low, and this was how I got around this "missing" Emogene.

press ~ to open up console command window then type
setstage 000503b9 70

hit enter, and quest should update appropriately.

Now, it should be noted there are multiple stages (parts) to this quest. That last number (70) is coming after the quest id. Below are the other stages, use them depending on which part you're stuck at:

55 Talk to Edward
60 Find Emogene Cabot
65 (Optional) Ask around the Third Rail about Emogene
70 Return to Cabot House
80 Talk to Jack
100 Quest Complete

Hope this helps guys! I explored every avenue (I hate using cheats) but this was the only way I got around the bug.

Thank you for this posting. I'm also encountering the issue where she isn't in the room at the amphitheater.

Are there any potential issues with doing things? Like breaking of other things such as follow up quests, scripts, etc?

Just tried this. It did mark that part of the quest as being complete, but it just got me stuck at the next part where you have to talk to Jack. I return to the Cabot House and he is marked as my objective, but talking to him doesn't do anything but allow me to go through his normal dialog loops where you ask him questions.

May have to just complete the mission with the commands, maybe find the dialogue online?

Yeah. A thread called "Bugged - Emogene Takes a Lover" has console commands which will get you past this.

Not an ideal solution but its unlikely that a patch will being fixing this anytime in the near, or likely far, future.

Thanks, finally managed to fix it. Pretty disgusting that Bethesda's been releasing broken games for over a decade and somehow still manages to evade significant criticism. Graphical glitches and an occasional crash are one thing, but completely broken quests? Sigh.
