Follower Power Armor - Please help

I've commanded one of my followers to enter power armor, and I can't find any way to get them out. This includes stripping all the armor from the frame and commanding them to enter an armor stand.

ANybody know how to remove armor from followers?

Nope, suffering this problem myself xD. He took some direct hits from a missle launcher and I wanna repair it, but he won't get out of it xD.

Talk to them, not sure about pad but you do this on KB buy press/hold e(talk). then you select talk, then you select exit power armor.

You can't tell them to enter an armor stand you have to do it manually, however if you have a second/spare power armor frame, just leave it in the stand so you can just take the plates from your companion(talk > trade) and repair them from your inventory(leave the 1st frame on NPC).

Do they still consume fusion cores when a follower is using them? I'd assume its like them using their default gun forever despite having no ammo for it in their inventory.

They don't seem to consume fusion cores. I've gone through several while we've been both tooling about in power armor. I'll try talking again and see it it helps, thank you Kris.

I put old Longfellow in power armour and I do have a mod that changes him into a woman, it is called the olive Longfellow mod I think, (no voice for this mod) not sure if the mod did anything to how he wears power armour, or are far harbour companions able to wear it? because I found 2 armour frames and since I already had him with me, I got him to grab the second armour frame while I got the first one so I could bring both frames back, but now even the steps you have posted are not working, (for both controller and keyboard. any ideas? anyone?

Dimiss to a settlement, wait a few days and show up at night, the companion should get out of the power armor to go to sleep at some point, freeing it up for you.

ok, thanks i also have another problem unrealated to this one, i am doing the far harbour quests, and i am at the part where i need to confront dima about the windfarm kill code, i already confronted him about the missile key for the nuclear submarine but when i talk to dima there are no options for confronting him about it, just the normal non quest stuff thats always there, i want to get katsumi out of there, but i have to talk to dima and get all that done first, i did at one point tell the brotherhood of steel about them when i was visiting the airship for the first time, but when i learned of their plan to wipe out acaidia, i reverted to a save from before all of that, even lost all my progress with nick valintine. none of that fixed the main problem though, no option to push the quest forward.
