*SPOILERS* ----- How to get John Hancock as a companion?

Hey, so I'm in Goodneighbor, and i've done a couple quests like The Silver Shroud and stuff. But everytime I talk to Hancock, no dialog options appear. I really wanna get him as a companion, but I'm not sure how, has anyone gotten him? Can you tell me how? Thanks.

Make sure you've done a good amount of quests in Goodneighbor (like return Daisy's book) then do Bobbi's quest. She should be behind a door in one of the alley's, the one where that guy was selling drugs to kids in the Silver Shroud quest. Knock on her door and you'll know what to do after that. During the end of the quest, don't side with Bobbi (you'll see what I mean). I hope this helps!

EDIT: So I read an article and it doesn't matter if you turn on her or not in the end?? I'd do it anyways.

You'll get him almost immediatly after completing The Dig, helping bobbi.
Then just choose to turn on her, and report to John Hancock
