How do you find copper ?

This game is great. I would like too know how too find copper for my settlement.

MISC, and JUNK items

JUNK items just grab everything that isnt nailed down.

Cant remember which ones but copper isnt plentiful I tell you.

Hot plates are a really good source of them. If you are in the workshop UI, you can select an option that will put a magnifying glass beside the materials you dont have. You then can exit the workshop and items found in the world that can be broken down into copper will show a magnifying glass beside them to alert you, you need this random, broken, uselss hotplate!

When you are in your settlement press "V" to enter Build Mode then walk around and highlight any and all junk/broken stuff and scrap it. You can scrap whole houses too for the concrete you need.

Lightbulbs, toasters, lamps of most any kind, hot plates (great for circuits those are , too),
etc,. I forget offhand all I find with copper in it. Those are some.
Those testing consoles one finds in garages..... is another.

Odd we can't salvage the silly TV and radio sets , eh/

Not sure which one of the SPECIAL attrubuties it is, but, one of them has a perk for finding rare collectiables and resorces. Earn it and copper will be more plentiful in the wasteland. Or, will seem that way because you will find more of it.

You the Scavenger system! :D Yes, I know it's called Search but ♥♥♥♥ that, it's a ♥♥♥♥ name.

Go to the junk section and hit the button to switch to Component View.

Now select the basic component you want to find and hit the button to Tag for Search.

Now every Junk item that has that component in it now has a tiny magnifying glass next to the name. ^_^
You can tag more than one component. Untag them by tagging them for search again.

Shipments are random but many traders sell them. :)
