Where the heck to sell stuff??

im pretty far in to the game and have yet to find anyone that can buy my crap. where is there a toen that has shops? crazy ive been playing this long and havent found any

You don't, you are suppose to use it at the work shops to build settlements, everything is salvageable

also i read that selttle ments were ENTIRELY optional..your saying you HAVE to do it to play the game?

Wrong - You DO have plenty of shops. Local farms and settlements - Caravans. And most likely, Diamond down in the city.

You can build your own shops later in game (The workshop has options for it)

just keep playing

Shortly after the Rocket shop there is a diner, and I found a caravan merchant next to it, but there are loads of places in Diamond City. I had a similar predicament but I decided to press on to open up the shop areas to sell gear, otherwise you'll not have much luck finding any early on.

ok im not up to diamnod city yet thanks 8) saw you can build shops but id rather not waste points into being able to do so.

Diamond City, shops in player settlements (created in the workshop), in just about every non-player settlement/area/or whatever, random traders (which typically walk randomly to and from random settlements and can be easily identified as walking with a brahmin), the lady in the cafe (If you decided to help her and kill Wolfgang or whatever), every single faction has a shop, and so... so many more places out there in the wasteland... open your eyes.
